London Craft Week May 9th - 15th
I am delighted to announce that I have co-curated a range of unique events, demonstrations and an exhibition for London Craft Week celebrating the amazing world of contemporary Passementerie.
Curated in conjunction with Philippa Brock and The Experimental Weave Lab, our programme of events will explore the rare and fascinating world of handmade passementerie. One of the rarest textile crafts, passementerie is the art of creating decorative ribbons, trimmings, braids, cords and fringes. Passementerie is classed as an endangered craft by the Heritage Crafts Association and historically was designed and made in the City of London.
